The Domestic Abuse Center (DAC) offers a batterer intervention program for court ordered and voluntary clients in many counties of South Carolina. Our program is approved by the various Circuit Solicitors’ offices for the counties in which we operate. We act as a possible sentencing option for the court system, and we work closely with judges, probation officers and pre-trial diversion programs to hold participants accountable while providing them with the opportunity to learn alternatives to controlling and abusive behavior.

Our vision is of a community in which no one—man, woman, or child—should live his or her daily life in fear of violence from those they love. We seek to work towards this goal by accomplishing our mission of providing an opportunity for people who have used violence in their relationships to learn new non-violent behaviors and to become accountable for the harm they have previously caused.
